Oh boy does it ever! In fact, I believe it has ARRIVED! How did I come to this conclusion? Well, here in sunny Florida, we get rain at this time of the year, thunder showers, they start with a vengeance (loud thunder, lightening, & rain drops the size of hail!) and in the wink of an eye, it ends just like THAT! Although, there are times, when the rain lasts all day, as it did today.
But Summer is here because our weather is so HOT, it's sweltering (I know, it's Florida)! And the kids will be out of school in less than two weeks! Let the worry begin! Which summer camp to fit my 8 y.o in; what to find to keep my 15 y.o. son busy; plan places to go and activities of interests; it is the first three-day weekend, Memorial Day = The FIRST long weekend = the unofficial/official START of summer!
Mind you this economy is trying on all of us, so we have to think with our budget in mind, 99% of the time. But we can worry about that later! I am perusing my About.com newsletters and found these FANTASTIC ideas from Colleen's Cocktails Blog on what to drink to start off this unofficial-official Summer weekend!
