The Bathroom Mirror

After taking a shower, a warm one to iron out the kinks in my body and wake me up, I dried off and stepped out onto the mat. I didn’t have the hot water on too much yet my mirrors were quite fuzzy and I could only see the outline of my body and face.

I took a closer look and realized you know, if I could only look like that, that shape I see, staring avidly through the mist on the glass, I would be drop dead gorgeous!

Being a curvy gal, all I saw were curves in all the right places!LOL!   I didn’t see the belly fat, or the cellulite or what I like to call my back fat!   Yes my friend, this is the body of a housewife and mother of three who was never thin; the body of a working mom who doesn’t always put herself first on the agenda for one reason or another!
Mind you, my clothes are getting looser and a bit baggy now.  I'm also fitting into pieces I haven't worn in quite a while.  I am learning to make time for me, because sometimes you have to do that!  I've come to realise that without my 'me' time, I'm robbing my family of me being a better wife and mother!

Well ya know what; I do love my body, lumps and all.  I’m not looking that bad because I can still wear my clothes and rock!
