Eggshells

What is it about communicating with some people that makes you feel awkward and gawky for what you said that you probably shouldn't have?  It is as if you have to tippy-toe around egg shells so that you don't step on them?  These days communicating is very complex no matter which medium you use.  And with the many technological equipment at our finger tips, you don't know if you've said something you shouldn't have, or that might have inadvertently upset someone because they don't happen to be  "in your face"!
 Instead of receiving a verbal communication or feedback from the "wronged" party, you're left wondering "What did I do?"  You then go over every detail of your "conversation" wondering where did you go wrong?

I don't know about you, but these kinds of complexities leaves me wondering how well I thought I knew someone!  You don't realize how much it would leave you questioning yourself either!  There are so many "P.C. - politically correct" - isms in our world today, it leaves you standing precariously on a merry-go-round trying to figure out how to hop off without falling on your face!
