Goldy No. 1 died recently. It was expected, but it was also unexpected if you know what I mean. Amanda has handled it well so far, she misses him but is not dwelling which is good. Maybe if he had been a four-legged animal and not just a fish it would be different? I don't know. But I miss the little guy! We do get attach to our fishes, they are our pets afterall. They don't bark, or meow, or run and play with us...except in their own little world! They know when it's feeding time, and if I've missed it, they let me know by following me everywhere with their little fish faces~! Goldy No. 1 used to swim right up to the top of the tank and look out at whomever was closeby, yes she did! Aw well, RIP little Goldy....!
