There's nothing like receiving a slap in the face! I mean that figuratively. It's literally as bad as actually being physically hit. You get blind-sided by others you would never think would do that to you. Not because you're untouchable, but because you know that what you stand for is integrity and everything that goes along with it, truth, justice, fairness, hard work, dedication, loyalty!
It's not surprising that there will be some who will look at what you stand for, and try to ruin your reputation. They make inferences that puts a bad taste in the mouth. The quick-gut-wrenching response is to hit out hard, really hard and bite the head of those who are plotting your demise. But the level-headed response is to swallow hard, tighten your belt and do whatever you have to do! There's nothing like envy and jealousy to get those claws out. I tell you what dear readers, sometimes it is good to know just where you stand!
