Social Movement

There are so many brilliant minds in this country, in this world of ours, what is it that's stopping us from ending poverty?  From creating the cure to cancer, or anything else that we want?  What is getting in our way?  Would we progress too quickly, even more than we have over the years?  Or would it be a bad thing if there's no one left in the word who is poor and suffering and sick?

We've seen what happens when we all get together, putting our "heads" and hands together for a cause.  We generate the difference that people need in their lives!  We make a major difference and change the outcome of whatever it is that affected one or more individuals!  But do we (as in Society) get tired of helping?  Do we get tired of making a difference?  Or is it all too overwhelming and what we do is not enough to help everyone?

Well, you have to start somewhere!  It takes just one project, just one organization to make a difference, but it has to be more than one!  We can't give up on each other, we can't give up on the hope that is inherent in our humanity.  We have to keep going and make the difference.  There are those out there who profit from poverty, sickness, crimes, and political indifference.  They don't want to see the social change in the world.  They don't want progress.  Let's not leave it up to those kind of people.  For those of us who can, let's be the change that our Society needs.  I've always said it takes only one.  The one life you change, will make someone better, and that someone will be motivated to make a difference in another individual's life.  We get too caught up in ourselves, rightly so, to remember that we too can be the difference that is needed.
