Don't use words that drains your spirit! |
It is a word I find myself using often dear readers, when I dislike something or, someone. I hear myself using it over and over again. So much so that I hear my daughter using it also. Then I had to re-evaluate myself and some of the things that I do say. Especially those words that I say when I'm upset! Isn't that the time when we let things slip dear readers? We froth at the mouth and we lash out at someone or something that we rightfully believed upsets us?! So take a breath, step away from the "red-eyed persona" that you sometimes become (of course there's always a good reason to be that!) and listen to my plan for why we should change this side of ourselves!
Instead of using the word "Hate", we should replace it with other, more well-intention-ed words, such as:
Dislike - you "dislike" their behavior, personality, dress, whatever it is!
Can't stand - you "can't stand" their behavior, personality, when they always tell you no for everything, when they don't listen to you, when they disrespect your feelings!
Despise - you "despise" the way this person acts, aka, their attitude, personality, treatment of you and/or others, etc.!
Aversion - you have an "aversion" to the taste of that food, to the scent of that perfume, the color of that dress!
Quite often when we are done venting, we realize that we really didn't mean what we said. So you see, there are other words in the dictionary that we can use instead of the word "Hate" because it drains us of our good-will, and wonderful nature!
