The Blogging Life

When you choose to blog, and you make your blog open to the public, it goes without saying that everyone is going to stop by for a visit just to see what you're all about. If they like you and your writing, they might just stop by again, and again, and again.

If you don't want to be open to all and sundry, then you do the best thing for you, you make your blog private. This means that only those who you invite in can drop by for visits whenever they want to.  I find this to be the best thing for those who want to write but don't want the whole world to see or know what they are about.  It goes without saying that is every individuals privilege to do whatever they want.

One of the things that can be disconcerting though, is when you were once allowed in to someone's life, and then without notice, you're shut out.  You no longer have access to read their writings, or to move in and out at whim.  It is a blogger's life after all.  It is life online with people you don't really know.  And life carries on.
