Day 28 - #31WriteNow - Day 20 - 21-Day Meditation Challenge - Miraculous Forgiveness

The 20th day of meditation focused on forgiveness, miraculous forgiveness of others, and even more importantly, of yourself.  I find that being forgiving is not too hard to do, at least, not at first.  For some of us, we "stew" on whatever it is that brought us to that place of anger and resentment.  We are so upset and so "mad" at whomever, or whatever, we cannot find it in our hearts to forgive them!  Then after we have calm down, maybe two days, ten days, a year....?!  When we have had enough time to reflect and perhaps then we can see things a bit more differently and may choose whether to forgive or not.  Admittedly some of us cannot move on until the person who has "wronged" us has apologized.

This is when we, as Oprah said, "choose (or are choosing) to let the hurt feeling have a hold on you forever"!  She also feels that  "letting go is a choice".... "Unburden your mind and release your spirit".
This is true, choosing to let go of hurt, of being wronged by someone, is a choice. We choose to hold on to the pain, to the anger, to the disappointments dear readers! I will say that we are humans, and in being human it is what we know and how we behave that comes naturally. However, I will also say that we do know how to forgive, and that we must do so for our own peace and contentment.

Deepak - "The ego moves us to seek justice or revenge..."   "The higher self knows that the Universe will re-balance all actions at the appropriate time, in the appropriate way..."
The first and natural response is for us to want to retaliate and hurt those who have wronged us. Sometimes doing so makes us feel better, however, the aftermath of this is usually more pain. And so
"When we hold on to pain or resentment connected to a person or an event, we are holding on to memories from the past..."  Love exists not in the past, but in the present moment..as we forgive, we are choosing freedom for our own souls! Absolutely we are choosing freedom for ourselves! Being unforgiving is often our own loss!

Forgiveness is a natural part of our spiritual evolution, inviting peace and well-being into our lives. Your life becomes a rich and treasured adventure!

Our world is in need of lots of healing, love, light and liberation!

Today's centering thought - "Forgiveness is for me, forgiveness sets me free"
