Motivational Mondays: How to Kick Negativity to the Curb!

It is so easy for us to think negatively dear readers.  Some of us might be people of Faith, or you may be a believer of whatever keeps you hopeful; but as soon as anything happens that throws us into a loop we throw ourselves onto the cycle of negative words and thinking that sometimes have us spiraling out of control.  You have to stop the negativity!

We cannot let one little incident...even if it is a-not-so-little-incident, have us questioning our hope and what we believe in.  You have to keep it going and move forward with your goals.  Of course being an optimist every minute of the day is quite an impossible feat for some of us.  I am not a doctor or psychologist, but having had a few disappointments my way lately, here are a few things you can do.

d-foreverserenity.comWhen things go wrong, allow yourself to experience the disappointment you feel.  Perhaps you might even experience the teary-eyed despair of frustrations, just let it out.  Find a way to expel the toxic energy in and around you so that you can get back on the road to your creativity.

If being physical is a way you relieve your stress, you should workout; or indulge in an activity you enjoy which will make you feel better and boost your confidence!   You might even want to eat some comfort food, this works every time! Or if you feel better voicing your frustrations, find someone whom you can vent to, a good listener who will listen and perhaps give some advice, but one who won't pass judgement on your pain. I'm thankful for one of my friends who is just a phone call away!

If you have no one to talk to remember there is someone who is always a breath away, waiting on you to reach out and call on Him.  Praying is also one of the best stress-relievers I utilize often.  Don't be afraid to use all of these suggestions.  Just do not indulge in anything that will make you feel bad about yourself!  Remember we are kicking negativity to the curb, not sleeping with it!

With that done, it is time to move forward, one action, one day at a time to your dreams!
