My 5 Tips for a Sane Wedding Season

I can't imagine what being a wedding planner is like. Or maybe I can.  One thing I would say is the job of the wedding planner is to focus on the bride.  She's your job, you are there to make her happy regardless of anything else that goes on.

Although you will also have to keep the groom happy, the phrase “Happy wife, happy life” is a great theory to go by, so he will be glad that you are in charge and leave you to the mayhem!  But what about you?   How about taking care of your own needs? Who will make sure of that?  Unfortunately, that's all up to you. Well, that's where I'm stepping in.  Here are my five tips to help you, the wedding planner, get through wedding season.

So before (or even during) wedding season begins:

1) Don’t skip out on your workout, it is a great stress reliever.  Depending on what you like to do, you can run, walk, kick or punch the stress from your body.

2) Do have your favorite playlist on hand, music is known to calm even the most difficult bridezilla, and if it’s on your playlist, it “speaks” to your spirit.

3) You need to eat a healthy diet.  Fast food won’t cut it, and your stomach will thank you later because there won’t be any unnecessary trips to the bathroom when you find out the mother of the bride didn't get picked up from the airport!

4) Do have an assistant who will be able to run to the airport while you keep the bride calm, as you reassuringly add “…there’s still fifteen minutes to spare!”

5) Last but by no means least, remember to use your trusty checklist, checking things off as they get done; plus knowing whom to call to fill in for the groomsman who’s already drank too much, will have your bride singing your praises.

At the end of her beautiful wedding, your bride will be ecstatic, and your name will be synonymous with the most awesome wedding.

And when you're asking yourself why you do this again, it's for the bride of course, take a virtual walk over to Fabulously Curvy to see some gorgeous gowns for bridal season.
