Operation Motivation: Being Grateful - Saying Yes to Life

Recently I was able to participate in the most recent of Oprah's & Deepak Chopra's 21 Days of Meditation Series.  The theme for this series was "Gratitude".

Day six' focus was "Gratitude is in The Present".  We were told that our lives were unique gifts and knowing this will awaken us to appreciate it more, allowing us to "step into a state of Grace".

“Just be, right now, here; and breathe. Begin to trust the magic of yourself.” ― Nikki Rowe
So many of us have become conditioned to what we think we are and should be, supposedly this is all a part of the normal way of being.   We yearn for that which we can't ever seem to have.  Feeding the needs that we seem to lack because of what Society expects from us; what we should look like, how we should feel, and even how we should react.

Oprah quoted Echert Tolley,  “Say yes to life and see how it works for you”.  Because we are constantly being distracted and not fully in our daily life we are never satisfied.  But when we are thankful and feeling grateful, our lives become abundant!

Deepak engages us to believe that each moment has its unique signature.  Grace lives in the here and now, that is, living in our present moments connects us to our gratitude.  Distractions takes us away from being present in our own lives.  In trying to have a perfect life we postpone what we really should be doing, and enjoying in our life.

Learning to be centered, secured, calm, peaceful and unconcerned, but aware, takes us back to gratitude.   Learn to appreciate the joy of simply being in your life. Being thankful.
