This has been an amazing day
dear readers. Do you know why? Yes,
today is the first official day of summer and it is also a day with the longest
daylight! Even after the sun went down,
no night lights yet, it was still daylight!
Summer means so many different things to each of us. For me it is a time when the kids, my youngest now, is out of school , she made it to the next Grade, and will begin high school when she returns….yikes!
It also means sunnier and hotter, yes HOTTER days to go out and enjoy the beach, park, pool, and those happy events that makes us wish it would be summer every season.
And you and I may have to be inside because of working hours for 8 hours or more per day. All we can dream about is everything that summer reminds us of. The smell of hot dogs, hamburgers, wafting over the grill, running barefooted playing in the grass with your favorite pet, or your little ones; and yes, the big ones too!
Getting your nails painted a bright ocean blue, and your
hair did. Working out to get rid of that
extra 10 pounds and then indulge at your next girl’s night out. Sunny days, warm moonlit nights, oh summer,
it is good to see you again!
