Today I could really use a drink, a stiff one..or even better, I could dive into a delicious slice of chocolate anything right about now!  But since that's not possible at this very moment...I'm taking deep breaths and fantasizing about the stay-cation* that I hope to plan at some point this year...a mini one...at the beach, somewhere!

When was the last time you took some time off dear reader?  Even for a long weekend?  It's daunting these days when you go on vacation because of the expense of going on one.  However, the valuable family bonding that accompanies such a fun time is always so sweet and well-worth every penny!  Even harder these days is taking time off from work, because no matter how much time you do have at your disposal by way of your company's allowable time off, you are afraid to do it due to the lull in this economy.

Despite the financial difficulties that so many are experiencing these days, being able to find a little time for you and your loved ones is a win-win situation and one I highly encourage!  Think about it dear reader, just like that commercial that features the family having fun on one of those cruise ship.  The little girl is trying to figure out if something is wrong with her dad because not only has he not checked his email or been on the phone, he's out there on the dance floor "getting down" with mom!  I love that commercial!  

Realistically, we all need to do that, take a break from our routine and live a little.  If you don't, well, that's what health problems and stress are made of!

*stay-cation = a vacation that is done at home or in your home town environment
