The Juggling Act

It's never easy, playing all the roles that each of us have to play in our lives.  We are moms, dads, cousins, sisters, brothers, friends, best friends forever, acquaintances, employees, co-workers, bosses, dependents, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, daughter, sons, wives, husbands; and in between there are the other things that helps to make us who we are...a lover of art, dance, fitness, reader of books...etc.  Each role is very important, without these roles, some of us wouldn't be where we are today, some of us would probably lose our identities.

Being who we are sometimes require us to wear several hats, juggle several jobs, but we function, we learn to multi-task.  Each of those roles have their own area of difficulties.   Which one do you think is the hardest?  Mom, wife, husband, child?  It doesn't matter really, because each  role is important.  However, to me, one of the hardest role is being a parent.  You have someone else's life in your  hands.  It is yours to mold, to guide, to help him or her through their life, until you can let them venture into the "real" world!  But being a parent, the one thing you learn, is you never let go, no matter what!

We are all skilled jugglers, and if you have more than one child it becomes even more difficult to do.   There are those moments when you wonder if you short-changed one of them, these lives you are responsible for?  You wonder if you give each of them the time they deserve?  When crises happen, sometimes you question yourself, and wonder where did you go wrong, is it your fault?  It is always good to keep a cool head, believe me...yeah right, first you panic, then you try to keep a cool head!lol!

No, it isn't easy the many roles we have to play in our lives. Yes, it is wonderful when we have someone there to help us along the way.  Never be afraid to ask for help, I've learned that. I've also learned that no matter how many helpers you have around you, more than anything, you have to keep believing in yourself and the decisions that you make. You spend your time trying to make it all work, and it does, somehow.
