Do You Consider Yourself Lucky?

Care Bear Plush 13" Good Luck BearAre you one of the lucky people?  Do you get opportunities that always work out for you, that no one else seems to be able to grab?  Or do you make your own luck, turning life's little trials into triumphs?  You have to admit, there are some people who are very, very lucky; they live a charmed life!  While some are not so much.  But would you consider this person extremely lucky, or could they be someone who just knows when to seize any and every opportunity that comes their way?  Could it be that this person has what one might call, vision?  And no, I'm not talking about fortune telling, rather, this person would be someone who is so open to ideas they are able to see the 'diamond in the rough' and continually seize those moments!
In many ways, to receive luck, you have to be open to receiving it.  You could be so close-minded, you unconciously stop any opportunities that may come your way.  But you have to also be able to see your luck through, taking it even higher, farther than you ever dream!  Depending on what your lucky break is, you cannot sit on it! You have got to keep it going and make it work for you!

An article on psychologytoday.com, "Make Your Own Luck", written by Rebecca Webber and published May 1, 2010, she discusses "five principles for making the most of life's twists and turns" three of which included:
  • "See Serendipity Everywhere", in essence: the game of Chance plays a much bigger role in our lives than we think!
  •  "Prime yourself for Chance", in essence: the more you network, the more opportunities that comes your way!
  • "Embrace Failure", in essence:  if you should fail, don't let failure stop you in your tracks!
Read the article to see what other principles Ms. Webber suggested. http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/201005/make-your-own-luck

I'm taking note of these suggestions and I plan on using them, I hope you will too!
