Change Your Channel

Do the things that makes you happy, and keep this channel on always!
I was listening to Joel Osteen today and I'm so happy I did (as I always am)! He reminded me of something today, to celebrate the joys and successes in my life and forget the negative things that has happened.  We do this so often dear readers.  We keep reliving over and over again our failures, our mistakes and we don't remember our successes.  We might celebrate for a bit, but then that joy fades, and we switch right back to the mistakes we have made, or the bad luck that have crossed our paths.

It's not easy for us to do this though, to keep being positive in our lives. Because so many of us are experiencing a lot of hurt, pain and bad times.  But those moments won't last forever. We can change the channel in our minds and switch it to the good times.  The successes we've had, the good memories of happier moments, this will keep us in a good frame of mind and open our hearts to the possibilities of more success that is out there waiting for us!

These people are one of my reasons for being happy!
You know the saying "count your blessings"?  You should count your blessings.  Celebrate the good times, the victories, the success you have had in your life.  The exam you passed; the new house you finally bought, the loan you finally received; the credit card you finally got approved for; the miracle of the healing you, or a friend or family member received after being ill; the new job, or promotion; the bill (s) you were able to finally pay.  The birth of your child(dren) or grandchild!  It's the little things (and yes the big ones too) that we must remember and keep replaying over and over again in our heads.  We must remember the joys that we have experienced, the love and mercies that God puts in our lives.  Whether you like to admit it or not, He is there and has done, and is doing so much for each of us!

This was one of the saddest moments in my life, yet,
one of the best moments, I smile when I look at this!

We should remember to tell those stories, and to reach out to others, sharing the love, the joy that we experience everyday.  You never know, that joy that you experience may be what someone needed to hear to realize that there is still hope for them too.  That life is worth living. That our God is always with us. As I've always said, even if you don't believe in my religion, in my God, you have something else that you believe in, don't forget to always give thanks and appreciate the good things in your life. The next time you feel nostalgic (and I've been on this page so many times), sad, or discouraged, switch your brain to the good times. Awaken the memories of all the good you have experienced, relive every moment and keep this channel on always!
